Agilent Says Mike McMullen To Succeed Bill Sullivan As CEO In March

(RTTNews) - Agilent Technologies Inc. (A) said Wednesday that Mike McMullen, senior vice president, Agilent, and president of the company's Chemical Analysis Group, will succeed William Sullivan as chief executive officer on March 18, 2015.

Sullivan will remain as an advisor through the end of the company's fiscal year, October 31, 2015, when he will retire.

As a first step in the transition, McMullen has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of the company, effective immediately.

Sullivan, 64, has been president and CEO of Agilent since March 2005. He joined Hewlett-Packard Co., Agilent's predecessor company, in 1976.

McMullen, 53, has been senior vice president, Agilent, and president of the company's Chemical Analysis Group since 2009. He joined Hewlett-Packard Co. in 1984 as a financial analyst in the Analytical Products Group. Since then he has served in various senior management positions.

Separately, Agilent said it has created a new services and consumables organization, the Agilent CrossLab Group, and named Mark Doak group president, effectively immediately. Doak has been senior vice president and general manager of the Services and Support Division.
