After-market Movers For Oct 30 (FB, V, WTW, EXPE, ZLTQ, SAM)
(RTTNews) - Gainers:
Expedia Inc. (EXPE) jumped 18 percent to $59.05 based on the news that its third quarter quarter results were above analysts' expectations.
ZELTIQ (ZLTQ) surged 27 percent to $12.45. The company's third quarter net loss narrowed from the year-ago quarter and also topped analysts' estimate. Total revenue improved 64 percent and surpassed the consensus estimate. The company also raised its full year revenue guidance to approximately 40 percent year-over-year growth.
Decliners:
Facebook, Inc. (FB) fell 2 percent to $47.75. The company swung to a profit in its third quarter and its adjusted earnings per share topped Wall Street view. Revenues surged 60 percent and came in above the consensus estimate.
Visa Inc. (V) declined 3 percent to $198.00. The company's fourth quarter earnings declined from the year-ago quarter. Operating revenues improved from the previous year period, but missed the consensus estimate.
Weight Watchers International, Inc. (WTW) fell 16 percent to $33.40. The company's third quarter earnings and revenues declined from the year-ago quarter, but both topped Street view. Meanwhile, the company expects fourth quarter revenues to be down low double digits given its continuing negative recruitment trends and added that 2014 will be a very challenging year. The company also announced that it has suspended its quarterly cash dividend.
Trading halt:
Trading in shares of Boston Beer Co. Inc. (SAM) was halted. The company's earnings per share and net revenue were above Wall Street view. At the same time, the company lowered its 2013 earnings guidance due to a land write-down and increased brand investments that are estimated to be partially offset by increased shipment volumes.
