$0.99 and Veterinary Oncologist's "Tomorrow" Helping Animals With Cancer Today!
NEW YORK, Sept. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Dr. Joshua Louis Lachowicz, board-certified Veterinary Oncologist and singer/songwriter today released his new song "Tomorrow" on iTunes. Profits from the sale of the song benefit the Joshua Louis Animal Cancer Foundation ("JLACF") (http://www.JoshuaLouis.org), an all-volunteer non-profit organization created to raise money to help families of pets in financial need pay for the treatment of their animal's cancer.
"Cancer affects millions of animals' lives each year," states Dr. Lachowicz. "Over 20% of animals over 5, and 40% over 10 years old will die from cancer." Through education and financial support, the JLACF is working to provide our pets with the best possible care.
Under the stage name Joshua Louis, Dr. Joshua creates music inspired by our pets. His latest single is a rare collaboration with his Sister, Jessica. Joshua used the lyrics from a poem titled "Tomorrow" that his Sister wrote after losing a close friend in an accident. Tragically she lost her life a short time later, but the lyrics to her poem resonated with Joshua, as it embraced a strong message that reminded us to live our lives to the fullest each and every day.
"The song 'Tomorrow' will help better people's and animal's lives," states Joshua, "as all profits from the sale of the song go directly to the JLACF." The single is available on iTunes (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/tomorrow-single/id680476868?uo=4). An accompanying video is available on YouTube (http://youtu.be/Q-W6jfzXEVk).
"All of us at the JLACF are volunteers, and we do this because we love animals and understand the importance that our furry friends have in our lives. Countless studies have documented the relationship between animal companionship and human physical and psychological health," notes Dr. Joshua. "Those in need span all age groups, and we believe they should be given the opportunity to spend more quality time with their loved one. By simply purchasing this song on iTunes for $0.99, supporters can take credit for saving an animal's life!"
"I support the work of the JLACF because I know pets are important members of anyone's Family. When a beloved cat or dog has cancer, it is traumatic enough to their loved ones, but to not even have access to the proper medicine and treatment because of a financial situation is devastating. The JLACF is here to make sure everyone has the opportunity to receive proper oncologic attention as needed. They care and they understand."
