U.S. ECRI Leading Index Growth Slows

(RTTNews) - The annualized growth in a weekly leading index, which is designed to forecast future U.S. economic growth, slowed to its lowest level in a year, the Economic Cycle Research Institute reportedly said Friday.

Nonetheless, the index climbed slightly to 130.4 for the week ended October 11 from 130.3 a week ago.

The annualized growth rate eased to 2.8 percent, the weakest since September 2012. In the previous week, the index registered an annualized 3.6 percent expansion.
