South Korea Inflation Data Due On Friday
(RTTNews) - South Korea will on Friday release December figures for consumer prices, setting the pace for a modest day in Asia-Pacific economic activity.
In November, inflation was down 0.1 percent on month and up 1.3 percent on year, while core CPI advanced 0.2 percent on month and 0.7 percent on year.
Australia will provide November numbers for private sector credit and M3 money supply. In October, credit was up 0.5 percent on month and 5.3 percent on year, while M3 added 0.8 percent on month and 6.2 percent on year.
Malaysia will see November figures for producer prices; in October, producer prices were up 0.7 percent on month and 0.1 percent on year.
Thailand will release November data for imports, exports and trade balance. In October, imports were worth $15.84 billion and exports were at $17.63 billion for a trade surplus of $1.79 billion.
Finally, the markets in South Korea are closed on Friday ahead of New Year's Eve.
