Singapore Inflation On Tap For Monday

(RTTNews) - Singapore will on Monday release February figures for consumer prices, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.

Inflation is expected to dip 0.2 percent on year after shedding 0.4 percent in January - when CPI had also fallen 0.2 percent on month.

Hong Kong will provide Q4 numbers for current account balance; in the third quarter, the current account surplus was 43.30 billion Hong Kong dollars.

Taiwan will see February data for unemployment, commercial sales and industrial output. The jobless rate is called at 3.8 percent, up marginally from 3.78 percent a month earlier. Sales are expected to add 0.56 percent on year after falling 0.56 percent in January. Output is called higher by 1.2 percent on year after climbing 8.14 percent in the previous month.

New Zealand will see Q1 results for the consumer confidence index from Westpac Bank; the index score was 114.8 in the third quarter.
