RBA Statement On Tap For Friday

(RTTNews) - The Reserve Bank of Australia will on Friday release its statement on monetary policy, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.

Australia also will see January results for the Performance of Construction Index from AiG; in December, the index had a score of 44.4.

Japan will provide preliminary December numbers for its leading and coincident indexes. The leading index is expected to show a score of 105.4, up from 103.9. The coincident is called at 110.5, up from 109.2.

Finally, the markets in New Zealand are closed on Friday in observance of Waitangi Day, and will re-open on Monday.
