Poland May Industrial Production Growth Below Forecast
(RTTNews) - Poland's industrial production in May grew less-than-expected from a year ago, figures from the Central Statistical Office showed Wednesday.
Industrial production rose 4.4 percent year-on-year, which was weaker than economists' forecast for 5.9 percent growth. In April, production grew 5.4 percent annually, according to preliminary data.
Month-on-month, industrial production declined 1.7 percent in May, while economists' had expectd a 0.4 percent gain. In April, production declined 2.3 percent.
The agency also announced that construction output grew 10 percent year-on-year and 14 percent monthly in May.
