New Zealand Unemployment On Tap For Wednesday
(RTTNews) - New Zealand will on Wednesday release unemployment data for the fourth quarter of 2014, highlighting a busy day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
The jobless rate is expected to ease to 5.3 percent from 5.4 percent in the third quarter, with an employment change of 3.0 percent on year and 0.8 percent on quarter.
Australia will see January results for the Performance of Service Index from AiG; in December, the index had a score of 47.5.
Japan will see December numbers for labor cash earnings, plus January results for the services and composite PMIs from Markit Economics.
Labor cash earnings are expected to rise 1.6 percent on year following the 0.1 percent increase in November. The services PMI had a score of 51.7 in December, while the composite was at 51.9.
China will see January figures for the services and composite PMIs from HSBC; in December, they were at 53.4 and 51.4, respectively.
