New Zealand Manufacturing PMI Ebbs In November - BusinessNZ
(RTTNews) - The manufacturing sector in New Zealand continued to expand in November, albeit at a slower pace, the latest survey from BusinessNZ revealed on Friday with a manufacturing PMI score of 53.5.
That's down from the upwardly revised 53.7 in October (originally 53.5) although it remains well above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
Among the individual components of the survey, production, deliveries, finished stocks, new orders and employment all continued to expand.
"With two of the three months for the last quarter on 2018 producing results around the long-term average, this bodes well for the year to end on more of a positive note after lackluster results during the middle of 2018," BusinessNZ's executive director for manufacturing Catherine Beard said.
