New Zealand Jobless Rate Eases To 6.0% In Q4
(RTTNews) - The unemployment rate in New Zealand came in at 6.0 percent in the fourth quarter of 2013, Statistics New Zealand said on Wednesday.
That was in line with expectations and down from 6.2 percent in the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter, New Zealand's employment was up 1.1 percent on quarter - topping forecasts for 0.6 percent but down from 1.2 percent in the previous three months.
On a yearly basis, employment was up 3.0 percent - also beating expectations for 2.4 percent, which would have been unchanged.
