New Zealand Food Prices Drop 1.0% In February
(RTTNews) - Food prices in New Zealand were down 1.0 percent on month in February, Statistics New Zealand said on Thursday.
That follows a 1.2 percent jump in January.
Leading prices to the downside were boxed chocolates (down 21 percent), which fall every February thanks to Valentine's Day.
On a yearly basis, food prices were up 0.2 percent after gaining 0.9 percent in the previous month.
