MEXICO: Trade Balance Posts US$ 2.73 Billion Deficit In August
(RTTNews) - Mexico posted a US$ 2.732 billion trade deficit in August, with exports once again growing more rapidly than imports but, not enough to prevent a negative result in the international trade. In August 2016, the Mexican trade balance had a US$ 1.884 billion deficit.
Last month, Mexican export revenue recorded a 10.3% annual growth, to US$ 35.778 billion, boosted by oil and non-oil exports. However, imports reached US$ 38.511 billion, a 9.3% increase from August 2016, pushed higher by oil and non-oil purchases.
Year-to-date, the Mexican trade balance accumulates a US$ 7.165 billion deficit.
