Mexico Manufacturing Growth Eases For Second Month
(RTTNews) - Mexico's manufacturing growth slowed for a second consecutive month in July, data from the statistical office INEGI showed Monday.
The manufacturing index, equivalent to the purchasing managers' index, declined to 51.4 from 51.9 in June. In May, the reading was 52.1.
A score above 50 suggests expansion and the index has been above this level for 83 months.
Expectations for orders and production growth improved in July.
Separately, the INEGI reported that the business confidence index eased in July, after holding steady in June. The index fell to 48.6 from 48.8 in the previous two months.
