MEXICO: Consumer Confidence Index Rises 1% In September On Monthly Basis

(RTTNews) - Mexico's Consumer Confidence Index rose by 1% in September compared to August, before seasonal adjustment, said the country's statistics office and the central bank. Year-on-year, the Mexican consumer confidence increased by 6% in September.

Among the five components of the index, the opinion on the economic situation of the members of the household at the moment compared to that of a year ago rose 1.8% on month.

The economic situation within the next year rose 0.7%, while sentiment regarding the Mexican economic situation increased 1.4% in September. Expectations about the country's economic condition within a year rose 0.1%, while the component on the possibilities to purchase durable goods increased by 2.2%.
