MERCOSUR: Bloc And Pacific Alliance Agree To Achieve Greater Integration

(RTTNews) - The Pacific Alliance's High Level Group and Mercosur delegates agreed to achieve greater integration in Latin America in a meeting held on Friday at the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI) headquarters, in Uruguay.

At the meeting, parties agreed to study local barriers on trade and productive chains to exchange information and experiences. The same will be made to promote business meetings and develop trade promotion events. Likewise, both blocs delegates agreed to hold meetings to implement actions aimed at facilitating, streamlining and making faster the customs procedures.

Friday's meeting was chaired by Colombia, as Pro Tempore President of the Pacific Alliance, and Brazil, as Pro Tempore President of Mercosur.
