Japan Data On Tap For Tuesday

(RTTNews) - Japan is scheduled to release a raft of data on Tuesday, highlighting a busy day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. On tap are September figures for household spending, unemployment and retail sales - as well as October results for small business confidence.

Household spending is expected to add 0.5 percent on year after shedding 1.6 percent in August. The unemployment rate is tipped to ease to 4.0 percent from 4.1 percent in the previous month. Retail sales are called higher by 0.5 percent on month and 1.8 percent on year following the 0.9 percent monthly increase and the 1.1 percent annual gain a month earlier. The small business confidence index saw a score of 49.8 in September.

South Korea will release current account figures for September; in August, the current account saw a surplus of $7.78 billion.

Singapore will provide September numbers for producer prices; in August, PPI was up 1.3 percent on year and down 0.7 percent on month.
