ISA: Net Income Rises 30.8% In 3Q17 To 317.183 Billion Pesos
(RTTNews) - Colombian electric company Interconexión Eléctrica (ISA) reported a net profit of 317.183 billion Colombian pesos in the third quarter of 2017, 30.8% more than the same period of the previous year.
The company said this was primarily due to higher results in Transporte de Energía Eléctrica, in Brazil, and in Concesiones Viales, in Chile.
Also, ISA indicated that operating income amounted to 1.858 trillion Colombian pesos, an increase of 12.9% over the same period of the previous year.
Ebitda (earns before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) for the third quarter of 2017 showed an increase of 37.2%, to 327.862 billion Colombian pesos, compared to the same period of the previous year.
This was due to higher operating income and by an inflation adjustment of the 2017/2018 tariff cycle in the energy transmission business in Brazil.
Net margin in the third quarter of the year rose to 17.1%, compared to 14.7% in the same period of the previous year, while the EBITDA margin in the third quarter increased to 65.0%, compared to 53.4% recorded in the same period of the previous year.
