Indonesia's Factory PMI Improves For First Time In 8 Months

(RTTNews) - Indonesia's manufacturing conditions improved for the first time in eight months in February, survey data from IHS Markit showed on Monday.

The manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index rose to 51.9 from 49.3 in January. A score above 50 indicates expansion.

Driving the headline index higher was a renewed upturn in new business and a faster expansion in output. Consequently, firms raised both employment and purchasing activity while business confidence remained positive.

However, input costs rose at a notably faster pace amid supply chain disruptions.
