Indonesia Retail Sales Growth Eases In October
(RTTNews) - Indonesia's retail sales growth eased for the second straight month in October, preliminary data from the Bank Indonesia showed on Tuesday.
Retail sales rose 1.0 percent year-on-year in October, slower than the 4.8 percent rise a month ago.
The overall annual growth was mainly driven by increased sales of the cultural and recreational goods group, spare parts and accessories, and the clothing subgroup.
The strong sales expansion in September was on the back of higher demand for motor vehicle fuel group and spare parts and accessories.
On a monthly basis, sales decreased 0.5 percent after a 2.5 percent decline in September. This was the fourth successive monthly fall.
