Indonesia Exports Fall Less Than Expected
(RTTNews) - Indonesia's exports declined at a less-than-expected rate in July, figures from Statistics Indonesia showed on Thursday.
Exports fell a 5.12 percent year-on-year in July, much smaller than the expected decline of 11.2 percent.
Imports declined a 15.21 percent annually in July compared to the forecast of 17.76 percent fall.
On a monthly basis, exports and imports rose 31.02 percent and 34.96 percent, respectively, in July.
The trade balance showed a deficit of $0.06 billion in July. Economists had expected a deficit of $0.42 billion.
