Finland Trade Deficit Narrows In January
(RTTNews) - Finland's merchandise trade deficit narrowed in January, figures from the Finnish Customs showed Monday.
The total trade deficit fell to EUR 465 million from EUR 565 million in December. A year ago, the shortfall was EUR 385 million.
The country recorded a deficit for the second straight month. In November, Finland registered a surplus of EUR 160 million.
Exports declined 9 percent year-on-year in January, while imports dropped 7 percent.
