Decline In Greece HICP Eases For Third Month

(RTTNews) - Greece's EU measure of inflation fell at a slower pace for the third consecutive month in February, figures released by the statistical office showed Monday.

The harmonized index of consumer prices or HICP dropped 0.9 percent year-on-year, following a 1.4 percent fall in January.

The pace of decline is the slowest since July last year, when prices fell 0.5 percent.

The consumer prices index decreased 1.1 percent annually, after falling 1.5 percent in January. It was the smallest decline since August last year.

On a monthly basis, the HICP dropped 1.1 percent, while the CPI slid 1.3 percent.
