Czech Inflation Stable At 4-year Low In February

(RTTNews) - Czech consumer price inflation held steady at a four-year low in February, figures released by the Czech Statistical Office showed Monday.

The consumer price index rose 0.2 percent year-on-year, same as in January. That matched economists' expectations.

The inflation figure is the lowest since October 2009, when prices fell 0.2 percent.

The Czech central bank had forecast 0.4 percent inflation for each of the three months of the first quarter.

On a month-on-month basis, prices rose 0.2 percent, following a 0.1 percent increase in the previous month. Economists were looking for a 0.1 percent gain.
