Czech February Unemployment Rate Steadies As Expected

(RTTNews) - Unemployment rate in the Czech Republic remained unchanged in February, in line with economists' expectations, latest data revealed Monday.

The unemployment rate stayed unchanged month-on-month at 8.6 percent in February, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said. The outcome matched economists' forecast.

There were around 625,390 persons without a job in the country at the end of February. This was lower than 629,270 recorded in January.

Data showed there were about 38,300 job vacancies in the Czech labor market in February, higher than January's figure of around 36,400.
