BRAZIL: Industrial Output Rises 1.3% In March From A Year Earlier

(RTTNews) - Industrial output in Brazil rose 1.3% in March from a year before, losing strength from the previous month, when the output had an annual increase of 2.8% according to the country's statistics office (IBGE).

On a monthly and seasonally adjusted comparison, the Brazilian industrial output decreased 0.1% in March. In February, the production grew 0.2%.

The capital goods output increased 8.3% in March from a year before and rose 2.1% compared to February.

Intermediate goods production was down 0.2% on an annual basis and fell 0.7% on a monthly comparison, while consumer goods output rose 2% in March from a year before and increased 0.2% from February.

Industrial output of durable consumer goods increased 15.8% annually and climbed 1% on a monthly basis. Semi and nondurable goods production was down 1.7% in March from a year before and climbed 0.2% from February.
