MTN Announces Strategic Partnership with Teekay Corporation to Provide Satellite Communication Solutions on Board Offshore Energy Vessels
MTN Satellite Services, a global provider of at-sea communications, connectivity and content services, has announced that it has been awarded a multi-year contract with Teekay Corporation (NYSE:TK) to provide its always-on VSAT satellite communication services on vessels operating throughout the world.
The agreement calls for MTN to provide global C-Band and Ku-Band satellite services to a portion of Teekay’s existing fleet and new builds over the term of the multi-year contract. In addition, MTN will implement several crew welfare services, including crew calling, broadband Internet access and will deliver licensed television content globally.

The global VSAT satellite communications network offered by MTN is "Always-On, Always-Available” and designed for the rugged maritime industry. Teekay Corporation has chosen to strategically partner with MTN to provide its vessels with C-Band and Ku-Band antenna systems for maximum reliability.
