Westpac Banking Corporation -- Moody's: Higher capital for residential mortgages are credit positive for Australia's larger banks
Sydney, July 20, 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service says that the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority's (APRA) announcement that it will raise the amount of capital required for Australian residential mortgage exposures for Australian banks accredited to use the internal-ratings based approach to credit risk is credit positive for the country's leading banks.
