Qwest Corporation -- Moody's rates Qwest Corp. new notes Baa3

New York, September 22, 2014 -- Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") has assigned a Baa3 rating to Qwest Corporation's proposed offering of senior unsecured notes due 2054. The proceeds from the note offering, together with available cash or additional borrowings from CenturyLink, Inc. ("CenturyLink") are expected to be used to retire at maturity Qwest Corporation's$600 million Senior Unsecured Notes due October 1, 2014, including accrued and unpaid interest thereon of approximately $23 million. The company's other ratings and negative outlook remain unchanged.
