New York, November 01, 2016 -- Moody's Investors Service, ("Moody's") downgraded The Mosaic Company's ratings to Baa2 from Baa1, reflecting stressed credit metrics that are expected to persist during the fertilizer industry downturn coupled with a more aggressive financial policy. Moody's expects lower fertilizer prices to pressure Mosaic's earnings and credit metrics through 2017 and anticipates that weak industry conditions will persist into 2018 at a minimum. The outlook is negative. This action concludes the review commenced on October 25, 2016.
