Incorporated into Moody's Global Approach to Rating SME SecuritizationsNew York, December 19, 2014 -- Moody's Investors Service has republished its global methodology for rating small and medium enterprise (SME) balance sheet securitizations primarily to incorporate its approach to rating venture debt transactions. The rating agency's approach to rating venture debt securitizations is detailed in Appendix 13 of the new report "Moody's Global Approach to Rating SME Balance Sheet Securitizations." In addition, we made some minor changes to the monitoring section of the report and added some explanatory notes to the table on "Moody's Industry Allocation of Borrowers Using the NACE Rev.2" under the link in Appendix 3. The publication of the formal methodology will not result in any changes to ratings of any outstanding securities backed by venture debt.
