Moody's: Paris Club agreement first step in accounting for Cuba's total debt
New York, June 18, 2015 -- Cuba's reported agreement that is owes $15 billion to the Paris Club of creditor nations is an important first step in renegotiating its official debt and attaining a clearer picture of its total debt liabilities, says Moody's Investors Service in a new report. However, a full understanding of Cuba's debt liabilities is likely to remain elusive for years, says Moody's, limiting any potential upward movement for its Caa2 rating with stable outlook.
