New York, January 14, 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service has assigned provisional ratings (senior unsecured debt at (P)Baa1) to Lincoln National Corporation's (Lincoln; LNC; NYSE:LNC) shelf registration, which was filed on December 19, 2014 (for a complete list of ratings, see below). The new shelf replaces Lincoln's previous shelf registration filed in January, 2012. The outlook on the ratings is stable.
