London, 12 October 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service, ("Moody's") has today downgraded to B1 from Ba3 the corporate family rating (CFR) of Infinis Energy Plc (Infinis). Concurrently, Moody's has downgraded Infinis's probability of default rating (PDR) to Ba3-PD from Ba2-PD. Finally, Moody's has downgraded to B1 from Ba3 the rating on the GBP350 million senior unsecured notes due 2019 issued by the group's landfill gas generation business, Infinis Plc. This concludes Moody's review of the ratings initiated on 20 July 2015 following the decision by the UK government to remove the exemption for renewable power generators from the Climate Change Levy (CCL) tax. The outlook on the ratings is stable.
