BlackRock, Inc. -- Moody's rates BlackRock notes A1; also rates shelf registration
New York, March 13, 2014 -- Moody's Investors Service assigned a A1 rating to BlackRock, Inc.'s (BlackRock) new $1 billion senior unsecured notes due 2024. The offering represents a takedown from a multiple seniority shelf registration of BlackRock, which was filed with the SEC on September 13, 2013. Moody's also assigned provisional ratings to the three security classes under this shelf registration, as detailed below.
