Bantrab Senior Trust -- Moody's Downgrades Bantrab's Ratings; Under Review for Further Downgrade

Mexico, June 24, 2016 -- Today, Moody's Investors Service downgraded the long-term local and foreign currency deposit ratings of Guatemala'sBanco de los Trabajadores (Bantrab) and the foreign currency senior debt rating of Bantrab Senior Trust (BST) to B1 from Ba3. BST is a Cayman-Island based trust guaranteed by Bantrab. At the same time, the rating agency downgraded the bank's baseline credit assessment (BCA) and adjusted BCA to b2 from b1 and its long-term counterparty risk assessment to Ba3(cr) from Ba2(cr). All of the ratings and assessments are on review for further downgrade.
