Australia and New Zealand Banking Grp. Ltd. -- Moody's: ANZ's capital raising is credit-positive
Sydney, August 06, 2015 -- Moody's Investors Service says that Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited's (ANZ, Aa2/Aa2 stable, a1) move to increase its capital base is credit-positive, because it will strengthen the bank's balance sheet and allow it to position itself better in light of changing regulatory capital requirements. However, from a credit rating perspective, there is no immediate impact because the ratings already incorporate an expectation of increasing capital.
