Yum! Brands Q1 Profit Up - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Yum! Brands, Inc. (YUM) Tuesday reported first-quarter profit of $399 million or $0.87 per share, up from $337 million or $0.72 per share in the same period last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.87 per share. On average, 22 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.85 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues increased 7 percent to $2.72 billion from $2.54 billion last year. Analysts expected revenues of $2.80 billion.

Looking ahead, the company expects to achieve EPS growth of at least 20 percent in 2014.
