YourCash Selects TNS for Secure and Resilient Transaction Delivery to ATMs in Remote Locations
ATM cardholders in the Netherlands can now more easily access their money in non-bank locations thanks to an agreement between YourCash and Transaction Network Services (NYSE: TNS).
Building on their success in the UK, YourCash, one of Europe’s largest independent providers of ATM solutions launched their market leading merchant fill proposition into the Netherlands in 2003. They have secured a number of major contracts with key Dutch supermarket chains, offering GPRS enabled ATMs and currently have an estate of over 600 ATMs. This estate handled in excess of 9m transactions and recycled over €790m in 2010. YourCash has plans to grow significantly in the Netherlands in 2011 as well as launching into further European markets.
TNS is delivering a flexible solution to help YourCash manage its growing international cross border presence. The service includes TNSLink, a fully managed and secure communications solution for ATMs that helps to maximise ATM uptime and that utilises TNS’ PCI DSS certified backbone network. The TNS network offers improved security and is monitored 24x7x365 to maximise availability. TNSLink can be deployed using different connectivity methods such as ADSL, GPRS or a merchant’s existing internet connection.
Jenny Campbell, CEO of YourCash said: "Our business relies on being able to deliver ATMs in convenient locations to customers, both in the UK and overseas. We also need the ability to remotely manage our ATM estate from our head office in the UK. We chose TNS because of their experience as a global provider of payment solutions and their ability to deliver a cross-border managed service that didn’t require costly and time consuming investment in a new payment network.
"We initially piloted TNSLink in a small number of locations in the Netherlands, and based on its success, we had no hesitation in rolling out the solution to all new merchant sites. The TNS solution is also part of a model that we plan to replicate as we grow internationally and look to expand into other countries across Europe.”
Fintan Byrne, Vice President and General Manager for TNS UK and Ireland, said: "We are delighted to be working with YourCash to help them grow their ATM estate in Europe. TNSLink delivers a solution that not only allows YourCash to remotely manage their ATM estate in the Netherlands, but it also offers choice and flexibility to the merchant in terms of how the solution is implemented.
"As YourCash continues to identify opportunities in new territories, TNSLink will play an important role in meeting their international cross border transaction delivery requirements.”
