Worthington Industries Q4 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Worthington Industries, Inc. (WOR) reported net earnings for the fourth quarter of $28.9 million or $0.44 per share, compared to $33.2 million or $0.47 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Impairment, restructuring and other charges reduced latest quarter earnings by $0.08 per share.

Net sales for the fourth quarter fell to $846.0 million from $891.0 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.46 per share on revenue of $835.87 million for the fourth quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Separately, Worthington Industries declared a quarterly dividend of $0.19 per share, an increase of $0.01 per share from the prior quarter. The dividend is payable on September 29 to shareholders of record on September 15.
