ANALYSIS OF THE WORLD ELECTRONIC CONNECTOR MARKET
Increasing over $2.11 billion, connector industry sales increased +4.1% in 2016. Percentage wise, the Chinese region exhibited the greatest growth, with a year-over-year sales increase of +11.9%, followed by ROW with a year-over-year increase of +5.6% and Europe with a year-over-year increase of +5.4%. The only regions to not show an increase were Japan and Asia Pacific, where sales decreased -7.8% and -3.4% respectively. In US dollars, the greatest growth was seen in China, where sales grew $1,746.3 million, followed by Europe where sales grew $562.3 million.

REGIONAL SUMMARY
The mid-level positive growth in 2016 was not enough to increase the past five-year compound annual growth rate. Once again, the five-year CAGR declined, falling from X.7% in 2015 to X.1% in 2016. Naturally, the past 10 and 20-year CAGR declined as well.
