Wintrust Financial Corp. Profit Advances 30% In Q2

(RTTNews) - Wintrust Financial Corp. (WTFC) revealed earnings for its second quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $64.90 million, or $1.11 per share. This was higher than $50.04 million, or $0.90 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.99 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 13.2% to $294.38 million. This was up from $260.07 million last year.
