Wincor Nixdorf Joins the ZigBee® Alliance as Founding Member of ZigBee Retail Services™ Group

Wincor Nixdorf Inc., a global provider of intelligent transaction and payment solutions for the retail and banking markets, today announced that it has joined the ZigBee® Alliance, a global ecosystem of companies creating wireless solutions for use in energy management, residential, commercial and consumer electronics applications.

Wincor Nixdorf is one of the founding members of the ZigBee Retail Services™ work group. This retail industry lead group is developing a new standard enhancing the retail experience from point-of-manufacture to point-of-sale. Once completed, ZigBee Retail Services will drive new product and service opportunities in the retail market.
