Williams-Sonoma Q1 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Williams-Sonoma, Inc. (WSM) reported net income for the first quarter of $44.8 million or $0.48 per share, compared to $46.2 million or $0.48 per share for the year-ago quarter.

First quarter net revenues grew 5.8% to $1.03 billion from $974.33 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.45 per share on revenue of $1.01 billion for the first quarter.

Looking forward to the second quarter, the company forecasts revenue of $1.085 billion to $1.105 billion and earnings of $0.53 to $0.57 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $0.59 per share on revenue of $1.11 billion for the second quarter.

For the fiscal year 2015, the company continues to forecast revenue of $4.95 billion to $5.02 billion and earnings of $3.35 to $3.45 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $3.46 per share on revenue of $4.99 billion for the fiscal year 2015.
