Why Lattice Semiconductor Rallied Today

Shares of Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: LSCC) rallied 12.2% on Wednesday as of 1:43 p.m. EDT.Lattice makes field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), a niche semiconductor product that had previously been used mostly in industrial and automotive "edge computing" applications. However, FPGAs are also used in server motherboards, and the AI revolution is now elevating Lattice's data center business to a majority of its revenue.
