White & Case Elects 18 New Partners

NEW YORK, Oct. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Global law firm White & Case LLP has today announced the promotion of 18 lawyers worldwide to its partnership for 2014. The promotions are effective January 1, 2014 and span eight of the Firm's global practices.

Listed by the regions in which they are based, the new partners are:

Americas

  • John W. Anderson Jr.is based in Sao Paulo and has been named a partner in our Global Project Finance Practice. He is qualified to practice in New York and advises clients on international finance and banking, especially in the areas of securities and project finance.
  • Claudine Columbresis based in New York and has been named a partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice. She is qualified to practice in New York and advises clients on commercial litigation surrounding complex litigation in federal and state courts.
  • Angela D. Dakeris based in Miami and has been named a partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice. She is qualified to practice in Florida and Illinois and advises clients on commercial litigation, including class actions, Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement actions, white collar litigation, and environmental litigation.
  • Rebecca H. Farringtonis based in Washington, DC and has been named a partner in our Global Antitrust Practice. She is qualified to practice in the District of Columbia and advises clients on government merger and non-merger investigations, private antitrust litigation, and counselling clients on antitrust issues.
  • Eric L. Klaris based in Miami and has been named a partner in our Global Banking Practice. He is qualified to practice in New York and Florida and advises major financial institutions in a variety of lending transactions.
  • Victor G. Mendoza IIIis based in Miami and has been named a partner in our Global Capital Markets Practice. He is qualified to practice in Florida and focuses on a wide range of general corporate and commercial representations, including financings and capital markets offerings.
  • Ismael Reyes Retanais based in Mexico City and has been named a partner in our Global Commercial Litigation Practice. He is qualified to practice in Mexico and focuses on regulatory matters and administrative litigations, mainly related to telecommunications.

Europe, the Middle East and Africa

  • Rob Bennettis based in London and has been named a partner in our Global Banking Practice. He is qualified to practice in England and Wales and focuses on international leveraged acquisition finance, financial restructurings and general bank lending.
  • Jill Concannonis based in London and has been named a partner in our Global Capital Markets Practice. She is qualified to practice in the District of Columbia and New York and advises clients on corporate finance transactions, with an emphasis on representing issuers, sponsors and banks in complex high-yield debt offerings.
  • Mukund Dharis based in London and has been named a partner in our Global Project Finance Practice. He is qualified to practice in Delhi and England and Wales, and advises sponsors, developers, utilities and lenders on international projects, project financings and acquisitions. He will relocate to the Firm's Johannesburg office in January 2014.
  • Gareth Eaglesis based in London and has been named a partner in our Global Banking Practice. He is qualified to practice in New York and England and Wales, and advises clients on international leveraged acquisition finance, financial restructurings, and syndicated and direct lending.
  • Andreas Kleinschmidtis based in Frankfurt and has been named a partner in our Global Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Practice. He is qualified to practice in Germany and is regularly appointed to act on major insolvency matters.
  • Natalia Nikitinais based in Moscow and has been named a partner in our Global Banking and Global Project Finance Practices. She is qualified to practice in Russia and advises clients on financial transactions, including asset-based financing, trade finance, acquisition finance and pre-export finance.
  • Piotr M. Szelenbaum is based in Warsaw and has been named a partner in our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. He is qualified to practice in Poland and advises clients on corporate law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets.

  • Thomas J. Benedictis based in Singapore and has been named a partner in our Global White Collar Practice. He is qualified to practice in California and advises clients on corporate internal investigation and compliance matters, and US civil litigation.
  • David Liis based in Beijing and has been named a partner in our Global Banking Practice. He is qualified to practice in England and Wales and Singapore and advises clients on a range of private and public equity and debt financing transactions, with an emphasis on China-related transactions.
