WGL Unit Among Contractors Selected By U.S. Army - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Washington Gas Energy Systems, a unit of WGL Holdings Inc. (WGL), said Tuesday it has been awarded the opportunity to win a portion of $7 billion under the Renewable Alternative Energy Power Production for the Department of Defense installations Multiple Award Task Order Contracts, or MATOC.

The company was identified by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as one of 22 qualified solar technology contractors.

Selected from a pool of over 114 candidates, Washington Gas Energy Systemsis now qualified to compete for future solar projects for any renewable energy initiatives issued under the contracts program.
