Wendy's Fails To Protect Customer Data

(RTTNews) - Fast food chain Wendy's Co. (WEN) Thursday revealed that customers data were stolen in a series of attacks at more than 1,000 of its franchisee outlets.

The burger chain said 1,025 stores had malware on point-of-sale systems that could have stolen customer dat.

According to the company, the hacker were able to obtain customer's data, including cardholder name, credit or debit card number, expiration date, cardholder verification value, and service code.

Wendy's has advised its customers to be "diligent in watching for unauthorized charges on their payment cards."
