WellCare Health Plans Raises FY16 Adj. EPS Guidance - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (WCG) announced the company is increasing full-year 2016 adjusted earnings per share guidance to a range of $4.95 to $5.05 from previous guidance range of $4.55 to $4.70 per share.

GAAP net income for the second quarter of 2016 was $90.8 million, or $2.04 per share, compared with $51.7 million, or $1.17 per share, for the second quarter of 2015. Adjusted net income was $99.5 million, or $2.23 per share, compared with $61.3 million, or $1.38 per share, for the second quarter of 2015. The company said the year-over-year increases in GAAP and adjusted net income are the result of operating improvement in all three of the company's business segments.
