WebMD Health Q4 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - WebMD Health Corp (WBMD), a provider of health information services, on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $16.3 million or $0.38 per share compared with $10.8 million or $0.25 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.36 per share compared with $0.27 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $162.7 million compared with $146.3 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.32 per share on revenues of $160.8 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the first quarter, the company expects net income of $8.5 million to $9.5 million on revenues of $141 million to $143 million. Analysts expect earnings of $0.22 per share on revenues of $145 million.

For the full year 2015, the company projects net income of $1.23 to $1.35 per share on revenues of $615 million to $635 million. Analysts expect earnings of $1.21 per share on revenues of $634.9 million.
